Finding Peace in the Storms of Our World — a course in mindfulness

When the world seems to be spinning out of control, where can we turn in order to recover calm, stability, and perspective? In this series of five 75-minute online sessions, spread over five weeks, you will learn to care for mind, body, emotions and nervous system through the use of meditation and resilience practices that are simple and accessible.
Five Wednesday evenings in March and April (March 23 & 30, April 6, 13 & 20), 5-6:15 pm. Please note that you are asked to attend all five sessions, as each session builds on the previous one and the continuity is very important.

Teacher Bio: Sharon Coleman has been practicing mindfulness and meditation for over 20 years. She’s a practicing psychologist and trainer who has offered classes in nonviolent communication. Sharon is a facilitator for a local meditation group (Berkshire Mountain Laurel Sangha), offering teachings and guided meditation practices geared to nourishing happiness, coming home to ourselves and building resilience. Her work draws on the teachings of Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh, the Insight meditation practices of Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield, and many others.
