Astronomy at Mason Library: “Christmas Star”
POSTPONED DUE TO CLOUDS!
Even though it is sunny now, our local astronomer said that the clouds are rolling in. Tuesday looks to be a much better chance so we are pinning our hopes there!
We hope to view the planets tomorrow, Tuesday, starting at 4:40pm. Please stay tuned to our website and Facebook for any other changes. (Fingers crossed the weather cooperates!)
Come see a rare event on the lawn of Mason Library!
Planets Jupiter and Saturn will be in alignment on Monday, December 21st. Come join local astronomer Rick Costello to look through his telescope and take a peek at what people are calling the “Christmas Star.”
Social distancing is the norm and face masks are required. Participants will be asked to sanitize their hands each time they use the telescope.
