Author Talk: Amy Hagstrom
Join local author Amy Hagstrom in conversation about the role of queer characters and themes in contemporary mainstream fiction. Traditionally published, Amy has experienced both success and roadblocks centering LGBTQ characters in the upmarket fiction space. She will have her debut novel, The Wild Between Us, and her recently released sophomore novel, Smoke Season, for sale at the talk. Amy writes character-driven contemporary suspense.
Amy Hagstrom is a writer and editor with two decades of experience in the travel and outdoor industry, recognized as an O Magazine Insider and previous columnist and feature writer at Travel Oregon, US News, and Huff Post. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing from Whitworth University. A lifelong outdoors enthusiast, she served as a volunteer EMT with her local county search and rescue unit before launching her travel writing career.
