Building Community Immunity: A Discussion with Local Leaders about the COVID-19 Vaccine

The Berkshire Vaccine Collaborative and the Berkshire Eagle will present the virtual event “Building Community Immunity,” a discussion with local health leaders about the COVID-19 vaccine on Thursday, May 27 at 1 pm on Pittsfield Community Television (PCTV) and through PCTV’s facebook page at facebook.com/pittsfieldtv.
This panel discussion, which will offer the latest vaccine news and address reasons why individuals may still be hesitant to get the shot, will feature four healthcare professionals recognized for leading the COVID-19 regional response:

Dr. Mark Pettus, Director of Population Health and Community Care at Berkshire Health Systems,

Michelle Derr, Community Health Programs’ Director of South Berkshire WIC and Family Services and vaccine coordinator for the CHP mobile health unit, and

Heather Barbieri, director of Emergency Management at Fairview Hospital and coordinator of the Berkshire Collaborative COVID-19 vaccine clinics and testing sites in South County.
