Houseplants 101 with Blackstone Valley Veggie Gardens
Grow houseplants to make you happy, clean your air, and beautify your home. We will review several of the easiest plants to grow and will also learn to identify common plant-growing problems.
Presented by Blackstone Valley Veggie Gardens, whose mission is “to inspire others to grow their own fresh produce. We deliver residential and community based training, consulting, and assistance in vegetable garden development. We are dedicated to the belief that most people should have the knowledge and opportunity to grow wholesome fruits and veggies in containers, raised beds, or in-ground gardens.”
Presenter bio: Kate Donovan lives in Blackstone and helps clients grow food through lectures, garden planning, soil testing, tilling, and building raised beds. She created a 68,000-member Facebook gardening group called “Vegetable, Fruit, Herbs and Flower Gardening”. Kate has seven extra-long raised beds and considers her home as her horticultural laboratory. She tries new varieties and techniques every year.
